By bike through the National Park
“Cycling”
In our opinion, there is no cycling region more beautiful than Neukirchen and the surrounding region. Here, you can discover the natural landscape of the Hohen Tauern and the Kitzbühel Alps from the saddle. Here, in the Hohe Tauern National Park, there are around 800 km of cycling trails waiting for you.
If you're a cautious cyclist or have small children on their own bikes with you, you can use the famous Tauern cycle path in the valley. The runs along the Salzach river towards the city of Salzburg. The best thing about it: You travel one direction on your bike, but to come back you can take the “Pinzgau local railway", a narrow gauge railway with steam locomotive - an experience for young and old. For mountain bikers, there are countless alpine loges and mountains, that you can choose for your destination. Hundreds of kilometres of cycle paths, forest roads and trails are available for alpine cycle tours. Don't forget: At the many catered lodges of the region, you can treat yourself with cool drinks and regional delicacies.
If you do not own a bike or a sufficiently powerful E-Bike for this holiday, there are sports shops and bicycle dealers in Neukirchen and the neighbouring towns, where you can rent a suitable bike - or even buy if you wish.
