At the entrance of the Obersulzbachtal valley, the Blausee is embedded in a forest corner. The lake, which impresses with its blue/turquoise green colour in the nature reserve is surrounded by a picturesque forest with spruce trees, fir trees, larches and alder.
The small lake in the Hohe Tauern National Park was formed around 100 years ago and today it is used as a recreation area. For visitors, there are recreational areas, sitting areas with tables, fire pits and toilets. Here you can relax in the unspoilt nature and even do some day dreaming - the Blausee is a place of energy!
