By bike through the national park
"Cycling"
In our opinion, there is no more beautiful biking area than Neukirchen and the surrounding region. Here you can experience the unspoilt landscape of the Hohe Tauern and the Kitzbühel Alps from the saddle of your bike. Here in the Hohe Tauern National Park there are around 800 kilometres of cycle paths to choose from.
If you are a cautious cyclist or have small children with your own bike, you can use the famous Tauern cycle path in the valley. This runs along the Salzach river towards the city of Salzburg. The best thing about it: you cycle in one direction and can take the "Pinzgauer Lokalbahn", a narrow-gauge railway with a steam locomotive, back - an experience for young and old. You can get tips on this at reception.
For mountain bikers, there are countless alpine pastures and mountains to choose from. Hundreds of kilometres of cycle paths, forest roads and trails are available for alpine bike tours. Not to forget: You can treat yourself to cool drinks and regional delicacies at the many mountain huts in the region.
If you don't have a bike or a sufficiently powerful e-bike for this holiday in the mountains, there are sports shops and bike dealers in Neukirchen and the neighbouring villages where you can hire the right bike - or buy one if you wish.
If you don't want to cycle alone, why not take part in a guided mountain bike tour in the region? You can also get information about this at reception.
